Welcome to the first in a series of blog posts aimed at providing more information on the different properties of crystal shapes.
As all crystals have their own unique properties it is understandable that the shapes of the crystals themselves whether they are a geode or a point would have their own additional properties and uses.
Certain crystal forms are natural while others have been artificially cut and shaped, this is due to the natural formations being rare to find and artificially shaping the crystal makes them more easily available.
The best example would be crystal balls used as a divination tool, crystals rarely appear perfectly rounded so the rough stone is shaped carefully by hand to create the spherical crystal ball.
Not only is the general shape of the crystal important but any facets or inclusions.
Quartz based crystals in particular have natural occurring facets at their tips, and some of these facets have their own meaning and potential, quarts crystals also come with a variety of different mineral inclusions such as hematite or tourmaline.
