Welcome to the Court of King Henry the 8th, here you will find dutiful wives, mischievous mistresses and everyone losing their heads!
Catherine of Aragon is the first dutiful wife dyed semisolid transitioning from one colour to the next, Catherine went through many transition periods in her life from being betrothed to Henry's brother to the first female European ambassador, marrying Henry and ultimately the divorce that caused Henry to turn his back on the Catholic church.
Anne Boleyn is the first of our mischievous mistresses, dyed variegated and speckled with red, while Anne was never really a mistress of Henry she sure knew how to make him wait if only she could have borne him a son and she might have kept her head.
Jane Seymour the second dutiful wife and Henry's favourite she is dyed variegated in loving pinks, she managed to provide the male heir Henry always wanted but the price she paid was her own life when she eventually died from complications following the birth.
Anne of Cleves, neither a dutiful wife nor a mischievous mistress, the somber autumn colours suit the sombre affair that was their marriage, following Henry's grieving for the wife he always wanted a lacklustre marriage to a woman he found no enjoyment in, luckily this one kept her head and was also an honorary member of the family and known as the Kings beloved sister.
Catherine Howard, dyed semisolid and speckled red, again neither a dutiful wife nor a mischievous mistress but she was tainted, her youth must have beguiled Henry after his marriage to Anne of Cleves was annulled but Catherines Howard's mischievousness was a sure-fire way to end up on the wrong end of an axe.
Katherine Parr the luckiest of them all, dyed semi-solid and speckled. She managed to survive by outwitting those who sought to turn Henry against her she outlived the king though only by a year.
Here are the wives captured in yarn and paraded around the court, you must be feeling how Henry did while the lovely ladies danced in court under his watchful eye.
